I believe that the GP Sorensen part number of 77911510 is incorrect ..... i checked GP Sorensen's web page and they said that the part belongs on a 81 firebird and not a 89.... and it did not match up with a GM harness.

This is a pic of the plug on the Sensor

I just removed that part number from my old post. I did not include it on my website because I wasn't sure if it was correct. I have several listed on my website that I believe are correct, but confirmed info is always best.

ive confirmed that the carquest plug part number s-595 is not the correct plug, they crossed it over using the AC Delco part number i believe. so just a heads up. Pic of plug is included. The slots are not in the proper spot once the plug is rotated to mate with the sensor. and there is no middle slot.

I am sure that the borg warner 3 bar sensor is the correct part, the part numbers ec1678. it has a sticker identicial to the GM OEM one, with the GM part number of 12223861 on it. so it appears that borg warner is probably the supplier of this part for GM. A pic of the sensor is included , there is a slot in the B plug at the 12 O'clock position and the A plug at the 9 O'clock when holding the sensor as show in the pic. This seems correct verified by this webpage :

http://www.hhscott.com/93tmv/3-bar_map2.htm

you can get the borg warner plug from oreily's for $70.

Still looking for the correct matching plug, if anyone knows of a plug that matches the configuration of this sensor please let me know.

ROB : i believe this makes the borg warner plug the "old style", you might want to confirm and update it on your webpage.

Appreciate your info but I believe this is covered in the post regarding the 3 BAR sensor connector - it has to be modified to mate with MAP sensor.

Would be great if someone could locate a readily available connector that has the right slots.

The Carquest S-595 has the same slots as the connector that I purchased from NAPA (ECHEC14). I added it to my webpage as an additional harness.
I would agree that it would be great if someone could find a connector with the right slots, and that was part of the reason that I was trying to gather this info on my webpage, so that it could show which harness can fit with which MAP sensor without modification. But, it is quite easy to modify the harness so that it will fit with a MAP sensor.
Yes, the Borg Warner MAP sensor has the same notches as the other old styles, and I have updated the info on my page. Thanks.

I am wondering if the new style MAP sensor has notches like the ECHEC14 and C-595 harnesses. I am trying to locate a picture of the notches in the new MAP sensor, but have not been able to do so yet. I also have not determined what notches exist for the GM A/C pressure switch. If anyone has info for either of these, I would appreciate it.

Smile Re: 1G Electronic Boost Data Logging

OK, well i have some information ... the borg warner is a 3 bar map sensor, i tested it directly and it is.

ALSO!!! i found the correct cable!!!! (for the borg warner style)

Its AC delco Part #PT1035 .... here are some pics of the cable.

May want to update the first post and website guys!

EDIT: finally got it all hooked up .... ill get some pics of the install sortly, however shivers logger v.1.1k does not have the scaling correct. i contacted him, he already knew and has already worked out a solution, which i didnt have time to try.

I plan on doing some WOT runs with it, and since i have two factory boost solnoids (one with the free boost mod, and the other without) , i am going to datalog the differences between the two. ill post them.

cbatters hows the boost control testing coming along?
