According to stealth316.com, I believe the terminal assignments and pin outs are the same for cali spec vs. fed spec. ecus. However, with cali spec ecus, the pin EGRT (a-22 connector) needs to see 2.2 - 3.0V to avoid a CEL.
Does anybody know what range of voltages the MAP sensor puts out? Edit Nevermind. I'm going to just hang tight for a fed spec ecu. From what I gather other members haven't faired too well trying to swap a 1st gen cali spec into a 1st gen fed spec.

Anyone know of a different source for +5V than the TPS? I'd like to tap into it somewhere a little less conspicuous. I'm getting my boost sensor this weekend.
Thanks, -Greg

I've done a few pulls since the install and it looks like the stock setup keeps map fairly stable at 9lbs +/- 1lb though it also appears to have a some overshoot hitting 11lbs around 3400rpm. Is this normal? Also, got any tips for a noob: are there any good indicators of a boost leak or boost problems? -Greg |

Do you have a stock boost gauge? If so, you'll see your boost according to that gauge is going higher than it should. Other indicators would be going extremely rich while boosting or it bogging under boost. Another good indicator is a pressure test. ![]() Some places that are pretty much guaranteed to be leaking are your throttle body shaft o-rings, BISS screw, stock BOV and maybe your y-pipe (if you still have the stocker). |

I found a GM sensor for a good price, so I just used it instead. However, I am looking at revisiting this idea now that the GM sensor has crapped out on me.Last edited by DoctorDex : 01-01-2008 at 02:13 AM. |
