TurboTension or others,
So what ever happened with your end links hitting? Did you figure out a solution. I just installed both front and rear Saner bars and have no issues so far with my ACPT driveshaft rubbing, but my axle nuts are hitting the linkage when I make a medium-hard turn. I tried taking the spacers out and replacing them with washers and that wasn't enough. I also put the bolts the other way with just the nut on the side of the axle and it still hits on one side. Next I plan to go to pick up some new low profile head grade 8 bolts to try. At last resort, I will try to use the stock end links with the Saner bar. Any other ideas? |

Steve mention a while back about a new design for the rear bar. Is this true? VR4swoosh, when and where did you buy yours?
Thanks

Here for the tuna.

I just bought / am in the process of buying a set of these. They were originally bought in June 2007 so I'm hoping they are the new design. I'll be autoXing with them on later this season, so I'll definitely post up about how they affect the balance / performance of the car through a tight course.

No more DSM...
|
Suscribed!
My DSM was a road race car, and I find out that the sway bars were the best bang for the buck in all the handling mods I made, I would like to have them on my TT, but I don't like all the issue the people have. I have PST one piece DS.

I installed front and rear a year ago and here is what I had to modify
1. For the front I shortened 3SX end links by 1/8''. Pretty easy to do with basic tools. This way my front sway bar does not hit half shafts even when my suspension is unloaded. 2. For the rear I made 1/8'' shims to lift the bar a bit and to make sure that it does not hit the drive shaft. Otherwise, I did not have to modify anything on the car. After the install, handling improved a lot! Definitely worth it. Installing rear bar is fun, make sure you have a spotter and transmission jack, since you have to drop the whole rear sub-frame a bit. |
