Damn - glad i found this thread - i was about to buy those.

so whats the deal... the lenses dont "project" the light... they scatter it? what is so bad about them? this seemed like a good alternative to regualr halogens. any input?

it says on the website that they are DOT compliant. how can they be that bad then?
