yea when i baught the car it needed a new k&N.... so i baught one, wile installing i saw that the line going to the BOV was sliced weird
soo cut the line back and put it back on. helped out alot i am going to do the 120k tune and also thinking of doing intake pipes, new vacuum lines and also hks bov, and new spark plugs and wires. it still sounds like a owl lives under their, only under high rpm.... like after 5k maybe 6k. the turbos have been rebuild 40k ago is their anything else i should do for the 120k tune??? besides new leather ????? what are the top end kind of hose clamps again??? i forget.... thanks |

I had those same pipes when i didnt have an FMIC, now that i'm going with TD05's I got an FMIC and that large pipe that sticks out the bottom pipe(In the picture) hits the FMIC pipe...So i can't use those anymore, but they worked perfect while I had them

T-clamps is what you were looking for and there is always a mixed sort of thought about them. Yes they are much stronger but people have been known to crush the thin metals because they over tighten things which is hard to do with a worm-gear clamp.
Also...worm-gear hold pressures quite fine and by no means should you really ever need T-bolt clamps. I don't know what the 30+ PSI guys use but if you don't plan on anything more then 18 or so I am pretty sure that worm-gear will work just fine

So has anyone actually noticed a seat of the pants difference with these intake pipes?
