there's a company called tireflys out here that was demo'ing that at the SEMA show a couple years ago.... same principle of many different colored led's firing at the right nix to do the gradients.

looked cool.

Varad makes a kit like that which is sold in the states... very nice kit, as long as it stays 1 color, when its color shifting, i dont really like the look of it

Yes, they are legal.. I already asked. At least in NE. Ebay has these kits for sale.... search for LED undercar kits
