the transmission will make more noise for sure. You could not here my old car's at cruising speed, but acclerating around town you could hear it a bit. If your fluid isn't full of metal I wouldn't worry about it.

While I cant comment on your noise exaclty, I can definantly say that you will hear all sorts of new and scary noises with the solid mounts, as every engine vibration (and accesory vibration) will make its way into the cabin now.

thats what i was afraid of, but im kinda relieved now... when i get on it, the only way to explain the sound is a mustang supercharger kind of sound... its RPM dependent, not speed dependent, so i knew it was based the transmission, rather than a low-fluid level sound (transmission) i blew the diff. in my SL and it made a horrible noise as i came home from work one day, and when i heard this sound after installing the mounts, i was afraid to drive the car for a week lol

its kinda cool to hear the sound though, i hope to pull the precats to do the front/rear mounts soon... so i can gut them and net some more HP while im there lol

Thanks for the input, i feel better about the noise

I bought a set of solid mounts and installed them on the car. I absolutely love them, it to me, gives a more exotic feel to the car. If anyone has driven any exotic you will love these mounts for sure. The tranny noise is amplified significantly but I love the whine. I do not daily drive my car though but if I could I would.

Props to Maximal!
