There's gotta be one more person who wants to do this.

That's how my '91 is sitting right now.... Easiest time to pull the rack out.

Chris, How 'bout I trade you a rack for the shell in WI! I can't believe I missed that by a few hours... drat.

Wolf/Chris, You both have some time to decided.

It's not in WI anymore, lol.

If I traded the shell, what would I put the rack in?

Yep, made for a long and interesting road trip. Still in the trailer covered in snow and ice.

Clint -
Technical question I have been wondering about:
Do you think there are any potential strength issues created regarding
any splined connections, etc in the system by removing the mechanical
advantage provided by the hydraulics? That is, hypothetically, if the rack
was designed as a manual type from the get go by Mitsubishi, would you
have expected any differences in the splined connection(s). Depth, qty, etc....
I am mainly referring to the connection between the shaft and rack....
Thanks,
Aaron

Bringing this back...after reading my question after removing the rack today, I realized the pinch bolt keys into the shaft, so strength is less of a concern than I thought....that said, can anyone explain what is done for the conversion...anything besides the obvious plugging of ports, etc....seriously considering this vs rebuilding the power rack....if they are still available that is (?)
