Default IPS Polished aluminum FMIC pipe kit (pics)

Installation on 93 VR4 with 2G body conversion. Well the kit took about three weeks to arrive, though i was told there were 2 sets ahead of mine. Let me just start by saying the guys at IPS are awesome to deal with, and did whatever they could to satisfy me. I was shorted the rear turbo IC pipe adapter when i spoke to them on Friday, and was overnighted the part to NJ which i recieved the next morning.

The quality of the piping and polishing was great. Not to mention no modifications of the piping or couplers was needed. The Y connection on the hot side was tight as shit but eventually got her in. Other than that the fitment was dead on.

Precision Turbo 31 1/2" X 3 1/2" X 8" intercooler core was used. Crash bar still in place, oil cooler slightly moved forward and up a little, and slight notching of the front bumper.

The setup (yea i know the outlet IC pipe is backwards...didn't find that out till the install since i didn't recieve instructions either lol jk not really needed if you can improvise a little)

Old parts removed. Including polished y-pipe, stock sidemounts (man were they trashy), stock pipiing, front exhaust manifold heat shield, clutch booster vac reservoir, and misc. brackets and other crap.

Intercooler mounted, piping started.

Finito.

(Yea I know its getting painted very soon. Was thinking black but white with gunmetal wheels and 3 piece hoop spoiler might look pretty tight)

Anyways I wanted to say thanks to the crew at IPS for making it happen. If anyone is considering one of these kits I highly recommend it if you got the money. Worth every penny.

And o yea shes LOVIN the FMIC. Especially compared to the beatup sidemounts, which barely had any fins left and what not. Just walked my buddies EVO IV hard. And i mean HARD...like a few cars from 60-100. Before the FMIC I walked him, but not like that We got a video too...i'll try to post up later.

Todd

Thanks for the review / post. You should have got colored instructions in the box somewhere but if you didnt I apologize. Glad to hear you got it on easily and are happy with the fitment. We are very happy with the kits now and of course the polishing is beyond topnotch (it just takes a bit).

Anyway, thanks again for the kind words and glad you are happy with the kit
Jeff

Jeff, i had a few questions but figured i post them here instead of calling...i know how busy you guys are.

Does this kit eliminate the chance of running a recirculated bov? Stalling problems are back again Do i need to go with a blow-through setup?!?!?! However, i've planned on converting when i get some extra cash.

Also i read on one of your threads about the remodeled kit including a boost nipple on the 90 degree bend before the throttle body. On the stock y-pipe i had my boost solenoid connected there. Thanks,

Todd
