Thumbs up HID- $69.99 Ebay

Just put in a HID kit from http://stores.ebay.com/mydepots. Shipped fast direct from China. Took about 1 week to get it from UPS.

Install was simple. Just take out the old bulb and put in the new one. Mine was tight because the new bulb has a o ring on the base to help make it more water proof. Connect the wires into the old lighting harness.

Mount the ballast and then your done.

I got the 6000K kit. Shown with the high beams on for comparison.

Sorry about the dirt, It started to melt after a snow fall in Denver.

Night shot with driving lights on to compare color.

The color is a "Ice or Diamond" white that has a bit more blue tint on the outside edge.

No driving lights

They are not that blue. The camera was trying to color correct.

I will start off by saying that in my work, I am a Audio / Lighting tech. I work with moving lights like you see at big shows. The moving lights use a HID lamp and ballast to produce the high output light and they have a bit of a flicker when they first turn on before the settle in.

The headlights come right on and have a slight flicker (less than 10% of full) for less than 15 seconds. The color is a bit more blue for about 1 min. Any time you work with a ballast there will be a warm up period.

I will order another kit in a few months just for parts as they have come down in price. Another thing I know about these types of bulbs in moving lights is that over time the gas will deposit a milky like coating to the inside of the bulb that will lessen the light out put over time.

Hmmm...might be interested in this. Hopefully they'll last a while and won't crap out in a month or so...keep us updated. For this price it's affordable to do high and low beams.

Still running strong. Any one else got them yet? There are many different companies selling the same parts under different kits.

Due to warm up, I don't think I will be using them for high beams. I did get some color correcting bulbs ( Halogen 60k ) for the high beams and some yellow for the fog/driving lamps (Halogen 25k) The 60k is not the same as the HID (xenon) bulb, but is more white than the 32k standard for high beams (Don't think I will need them much)
