That would not be top, that would be anywhere. The key is that you make sure the air is delivered to an ideal spot that is better off and more valuable. By far thought her air delivered from the front at speed is FAR greater thatn a small duct could create. A rear cowl for insuction (not exhaust) would be the greatest backpressure increase.

It's good to know a auto design major and some working designers

Thanks for pointing out the dual airfilter AND rear tubo duct though! Always good to see the top too, as the 575 is available in Carbon fiber, a uinique feature.

curbon is an unknown quantity at this point

not to be disrespectful, but i've heard that most finely tuned race cars like formula 1 and nascar hoods don't have cowls on them to ram air in through the top of the engine.

That is true. A cowl at the back window needs to be about 2-3 inches from the windsheild to be far enough away from the high pressure there to actually exhaust air from the bay. Anything too close to the windsheild will act as an air intake, not exhaust.

i thought the rear duct on the 575 was functional, i.e. had an opening there

that being said i'd be interested in the unpainted cianci hood, also top pics of both, unpainted.

It is functional. The hood comes either with the duct open or closed so that if you have an NA, it goes to JUST the air filter.... if it's turbo, then both are open

Unprepped, first one I ever made. 4 clear coats of dupont UV clear.

Unpainted black gel.

And I can't remember if seans is unpainted or CF.

Unpainted FG first gen:

2 unpainted CF:

Unpainted first gen cf:

I put both because only 575 hoods come both unpainted, but in FG or CF finish. Most people get CF because it costs less, and doesnt need to be painted.

That would be true if both vents rear exhausts were as big as the front intake. As they are both substantially smaller, they create a nozzle effect, and effectively blow out of both. Think of a 2 inch hose with two 1/2 inch exits. You can probably tell pretty easily that water will not just flow out of 1 side. They will both begin to fill at the same time, both pressurize, equalize, and force air out both ways.
