I bought an identical set of headers off of Ebay. The seller said he didnt need them , i'm sure he saw how junk they were and didn't want them. I had to grind 3 exhaust studs, no big deal, the flanges were warpped over .030 , the front turbo holes need slotted, there is no way to get a nut on one turbo stud ( it is too close to the weld), the front pre cat eliminator ( I got off ebay) wont fit ( it hits header ) so I tryed my gutted pre cat and it hits too. The factory braces wont fit , so even if I grind ,chop and cus enough I doubt my downpipe will fit

Im waiting on my 3sx rod. So far so good, the manifolds look good so far. They angle correctly.
But test fit the back one. I had them ground flat. The bottom studs had to be taken down a bit. And the turbo side I filed flat. I bought 2 sets. The one needed ground. the ones with "top speed" tags on them were the better of the 2. They actually were flat but i had them done also. The front will need a little bit taken off the stud in the middle.

putting them on. Had to forego one washer on the rear manifold.
Front had to take a little off. Front turbo having some space issues. Going to be putting on custom brackets to mimic stock supports on turbos. Had to shift the turbo around a little and working out how to get the bolts on. Im sure these are similar to DNP issues. Full install pics coming this weekend. |
