Thumbs down Autometer ultra-lite boost gauge

after owning the this mechanical gauge for 2+ years, the needle has started to vibrate in boost. i guess these things can't last forever and it was cheap, but it's still a waste of money since you either buy a better one later or have to send it off to get fixed. even if it gets fixed, it'll likely fail in another 2 years. i bought a pressure snubber ($20) which solved the vibrating problem, but made the response much slower. i've gone thru 2 autometer boost gauges now. 1 cobalt (electric) and the ultra-lite comp (mechanical) and they both failed. i'm never buying another autometer product. i upgraded to a defi blue racer boost gauge.

no problems with my autometer. I've had the car for 2 years and the gauge came with the car, so who knows how old it is.

It is one of the carbon fiber faced mechanical ones. Works great and is easy to read day and night.

Everyone on here trashes autometer, but in many other car platforms they are well respected.

I've an autometer mechanical too from two years, it works good but I've to admit that the fact you've that long hose that go from the engine bay under your dash and then in your a-pillar (or like me that go out of the hood and then into the door) feel like if it is not very accurate but I think for 40$ that I payed that's honest
