The 3sx crank pulley is like 5lbs lighter than stock. The obvious is it takes weight off the crank(just like a lightened flywheel), allowing the engine to rev faster. After I put the pully on, the car pulled harder especially around 3k. Definitly the best bang for your buck in any car. The only problem I had is my ac belt screams when I turn it on, but thats probably just loose.

As far as rpm's dropping i've heard of this, but don't notice it in my car. The basic concept is the heavier stock pully helps keep momentum of the engine turning when your off the gas. But if you think about it, when your using that power (racing), your shifting too quick to let the rpm's drop, right?

If you spend a lot of time on the highway i doubt you would be able to tell. Since the water pump is seperate and the fans are obviously electric i don't really see any harm in underdrive pulleys i just think you need to be aware of the creature comfort effects.

The 3sx pulley isnt underdriving. Its just lighter.

Same here, but like I said, I just threw it on and started it up. I just never got back under it to tighten it up.

If that is the case go for it. Also keep in mind that stock pulleys don't have much of a harmonic dampener. It's only a bit of rubber in there. It's not a liquid filled dampener like the detroit rust buckets that need to add things to their motors to dampen them. I'd figure as long as the aftermarket pulley is balanced it would be just as good as anything else. I've even owned cars that had no dampeners OEM like MG and VW
