Default 3SX Stainless-Steel Braided Brake Lines

Had these for a few months, just got around to installing them. I have to tell everyone about the stopping improvement with them on. If you dont have a set then you dont know what your missing. Upgrading to slotted rotors didnt make that much difference until now.

Go ahead and order a set. You'll need em since your building your td05. I definitely feel that they are a necessity for our old cars, I didnt realize it until I put them on.

Dont really see what could be a problem, since there all hard lines and ss. I just feel better now. But ya never know. If anyone knows about a factory recall please post a link for us.

Before you order see what other companies sell them because I have had mine for a year or so and the ends that the fitting screw into...the female ends that come on them and even the male ends that go into the calipers rust.

That's right. They rust. Granted its the brake lines themselves that are SS and not the fittings but I would hope that they wouldn't rust so that if you need to get them off again they would come off easier then the stockers.

I should have taken some pics of them but im pretty sure they're aluminum. Guess i'll be pulling a wheel off as soon as it stops raining.

Just wanted to help confirm...

The web site was incorrect, the brake lines fittings are made of a mild steel.

That being said, it is possible for them to rust. However, I have yet to hear of a set of lines to fail because of this.

But also keep in mind, the conditions, and climate that your vehicle is in. There are guys that have been running these lines for years, and never had any issues with rust. On the flip side, go to a place like Michigan for example, its very possible for the fittings to rust, due to water and salt on the roads.

After talking with the manufacturer, my understanding is that it is possible for the fittings to rust, but no more than the rest of your vehicle's undercarriage would, pending the conditions.

Again, I haven't heard of anyone's lines failing because of rust. I can't really think of our lines failing for any reason that was manufacturer's defect.

They are a great upgrade, improve stopping power tremendously, and they don't look too shabby with the color options.

How does the build material and quality compare to those of the 3SX stainless-steel braided clutch slave cylinder lines? Will the latter rust as well?
