Talking TT swap

found a 93 3000gt tt engine w/ 96,xxx miles on it and plan to drop it in to my 92 es stealth

I've searched and researched and again and again

unfortunatly i have a couple questions

this is the first time that i've ever swapped an engine
I have taken out and dropped in same motors but since this is TT i didnt know what all is different
should i get the tt ecu or will mine be ok?
what complications have been run into and how have they been resolved?
both cars are 1st gen so im guessing most everything will be kosher but i just wanted to make positive before i spend my moneys

Thanks in advance and i just have to say that i'm giddy like a school girl everytime i think about having FI

Read up on other people's TT conversion. I believe green-lantern dropped in a TT engine in his car. having the TT ecu over the NA would save a bunch of headaces cause there's very little tuning. If you go through with the conversion get the turbos rebuilt or get some new 13G's or something cause you don't want to go back and take them out cause there bad. I just did my conversion on my 93 ATX and the turbos are bad. Its been a pain in the ass to get them takin out.

No, mine is 10:1 but I am building a new 8:1 block in case mine pops. Hey Red (nice name BTW) you want to use a TT ECU if you can because the fuel maps are very close to what you want.

just in case you havent seen this.

get the TT ecu. and then if you can a safc, or safc2. that should be all you need to run7-8 psi. while you have the motor out of the car, it may be a good idea to go ahead and do the 60k tuneup on the car, and check the turbos before hand as already stated, and go ahead and put a new clutch in if yours is not already fairly new. doing things like that while the motor is out of the car, will save you alot of headache later on.

your car is 5 speed im assuming? if not, you'll need to get the infor for wiring in the tcu for the atx

hey guys i got a question

i'm rebuilding the N/A motor right now so can then sell it but...
i just put the pistons in and now that they are all in, i cant turn the motor over at all, when i had 4 of the 6 pistons in i could turn over no prob, now its tighter than all hell, i did hone the cylinder walls but that would only make it wider.
i think the rings might be too tight but i'm not sure
or is this even a bad thing?? this is the first time i've worked on a 3/s motor
i just dont know how i could time it if i cant turn the engine over.

any information/ opinions are greatly appreciated
