Do you realize those small turbos can give you 280 hp to the front wheels on low boost?

I'm in the process of putting a 16G Evo III Turbo on my SOHC do you have a rough estimate of the hp increase at low boost like 7psi?

"don't run an n/a ecu with a turbo or supercharger"?

could have fooled me. been running an n/a ecu with an safc2 in mine for 4+ months of daily driving...and haven't had one single issue.

you don't need a vr4 necessarily. fwd tt's are lots of fun. but in all fairness, unless you are a glutton for punishment to both your wallet and your mechanical prowess--go with a tt swap. with my n/a ecu...my car is probably just as fast as whitenoise's...and with a TT ecu, i'd probably smoke him. you just can't beat the standard TT swap for the $$$. and yes, i am a convert as well. i used to be 100% for superchargers.

they're great. but not on this platform. not where such an established TT support market exists.

about 240ish hp to the wheels.

the thing about putting a SC on the 3/s platform is that it has been done successfully very few times. and while they offer great low end tourque, wheel hop can destroy your transmission, and as stealthee has already proven, the stock diffs on the fwd transmissions are not strong at all. hes fragged 2 on NA sohc power. im not bashing on superchargers, but on our platforms, whats the use of having one if you cant really launch the car and put the lowend tq to use?

imo i think that doing a TT conversion, or single turbo conversion(much harder than TT) would benefit you more in the long run, and youd be happier as there is room for improvement and many many parts available.

but to each his own i guess.

your money, your car, your decision
