OK everything is fixed car runs great, refixed my starting problem, and tightened up my belt really good. i feel more power defiantly. but 4psi at WOT isnt really that much. its just enouph to lift my front end up but without having traction issues. really dont have any problems with traction at all witch is probably due to my 2-3 psi LOL but im working on that to. i might get a bigger crank but im not sure yet if i want 6 Psi or 10 psi or 14 psi?? LOL
and the only reason im not getting 7 psi witch i sould with this setup is due to the fact that sea level atmospheric pressure is about 14.7PSI and where im at is about 12.2 PSI so it has a differance of about 2.5 witch taken of the 7 psi is about 4.5 PSI so everything is good.
Im just thinking if i should throw a turbo on and call it a day so i will have turbo compressing air and the supercharger compressing th turbos compressed air?? hummmm Twin turbo conversion here i come LOL

A word of caution on your crank pulley. Don't get anything larger than a 5" diameter drive pulley. Anything larger will overdrive your power steering pump and cause the pressure valve to blow apart and spew all of your power steering fluid. The fluid also gets very hot and will overflow out of your reservoir. This warning is from experience. I also blew out my stock NA head gaskets at 9psi with 10:1 pistons. I had to install TT 3 layer steel gaskets.
I am presently having ASP Racing (dot) com make me a six rib drive pulley and matching SC pulley to achieve a little over a 1:2 ratio. (ASP is the secret company many pulley makers use for "their" custom pulleys). MY SC is rated at 10000rpm, but an occasional trip to 120000rpm won't kill it. I will attain at least 8-10psi boost (you don't really know until you run it). I already had them make me a six rib power steering pulley. You can use my drawings (in their files) to model your pulleys. $150 drive pulley, $100 SC pulley, $100 power steering pulley. I had the six rib power steering pulley pressed on when I rebuilt the PS pump. Six ribs is better than four on the SC for grip. I am running the alternator and AC compressor with a four rib belt without any problem.
I made a huge mistake replacing my 10:1 pistons with 8:1. I lost a lot of power. 10:1 is perfect for up to 10psi, which is effectively the design limit of the Eaton M90. I am now going to do a TT conversion to get that HP back and then some... I will be having a perfected supercharger kit available after the conversion. The rebuilt M90 has less than 500 miles on it.

Now that I know that the whole engine is pressurized I have a question, or maybe a main problem. There is a hose that comes off the back valve cover to the intake. Now if I'm thinking correctly the TT intake is pressurized along with the back valve cover. So would that be a problem??? My back Valve cover is pressurized but my intake isn't ?? And a pressure tester cant pick that up due to that the intake is pressurized with the intake.
2.5" until you make more than 350 to the wheels. I have a Rippmods SC set up with full length jethot coated headers and 2.5" custom exhaust. Worked well til I my timing belt jumped...lots to part out. Enjoy.
o i was talking about the intake not the exhaust
cuz if i make a custom one i dont want it to be resistant nor do i want it to linger in the intake to long and heat up
I would get some but im working on some more crazzy custom work now im tearing it down again and doing some work on the supercharger pulley and others as i get the money
OK know i asked this before and others have before over and over but i will ask again. what is the highest boost i should boost my NA motor (10:1)??? I can boost it anywhere from 4 PSI to 18 PSI but where is a good place and what would i need to due as in fuel mods injetions what ever without changing the internals??? (all stock internals) ??? and if you could explain the mod as like how to convert to E85 or if you even have to??
hi cyote
been reading your thread with interest as l have been through a similar path to you of supercharging my jdm gto [4wd,2ws,etc] since around 2003. the current spec is magnum powers ported eaton with intercooler and water inj.[30% meth.]. so custom plenum ford 65mm t/b onto custom t/b to s/c connector 360 injectors [high res], stand alone electronics and much more so l know what your up to!!
regarding boost l think that 7/8 psi is about as far as you should go without intercooling and then up tp 10/12 psi, mine runs up to 12.5 at present, but that is with 10:1 forged je pistons and it would push std fit l think, but you must get the fueling correct, if you run lean potential melted pistons , need l say more!! l also think one of the hardest parts of the set is to get a good idle, but a bypass valve might help.
a smaller s/c pulley will give more boost, but if you can go for a wider belt [mines an 8 rib] this would minimise any belt slip [i,ve got custom pulleys and tensioner]
l have posted pictures before so l could do again if you would like to see my set up, but as we speak l am now in the process of installing a kenne bell supercharger, a screw type which should be quieter and offer more boost potential in future. the car runs just over 400 bhp at present, with the k/b there is a potential to go over 500 if l choose.
good luck with your project
cheers jerry
