No, it depends on your turbine.
There are .48 .63 .82 turbine housings

There are stage 1, stage II, stage III, and stage V t3 turbine wheels...

and you could build a t4 turbine setup (t4 wheel and housing) if you wanted to.

Just throwing out a compressor wheel size doesnt help much. What matters is the whole package.

You need a turbo that will run right through the middle of the compressor wheel efficiency map, and if the turbine setup is too small, it will surge, if its too big, then it will be overly laggy. If the compressor is too small, then it will run off the right side of the compressor map.

Most people copy what someone else has done that has been proven to work. If you cant copy someone, then you have to be very careful when it comes to turbo selection. Using advice that really doesnt apply to your motor/car is not helpful.

And if you have ever driven a FWD turbo before with 300+hp, then you would know that a turbo building lots of boost in the low RPMs is a horrible idea.

Sounds pretty sick dude. I don't know who you were referring to with your post but if you are referring to me, I'm not sure yet because I have not finished my build yet. That being said, if my calculations are correct, I should see full boost by about 4K and make quite a bit over 500whp at around 15 to 16psi. With a T76, you are gonna make some monstrous power.

My build should be done within about 30-40 days so I will have more info then.

that's why i'm asking questions....well given what I want basically (instant spool) with around 290-310fwhp. What would you guys advise me to use? (that's probly the more adequate question) I mean ondontii as you know i had my turbo shadow with a garrett t03 ar .48 2.5" swingvalve and turbo talon with 13g,14b,16g...and others on here know about my turbo colts in 14b,16g,18c,and 20g platforms BUT everything turbo i've owned has been 4cyl.
