Default Project Autopsyche GTO SR - TT Conversion

Hello all, finally decided to take the plunge. After months of understanding and reading, have decided to join the TT Gang in the quest for more power. Just managed to procure the parts from a '93 and some BPU parts over the last few days (thanks to ImportPower for going out of his way to help me with this). My parts should be shipped out in the coming week and should be with me by next week (Im located on the other side of the globe so itll take a bit). I shall try to begin asap with the work.

All my parts are 100% Stock including 9B Turbos. Upgrade parts ordered:
- Gen 3 Lifters
- TurboXS RFL BOV
- AEM Tru Boost
- Scanmaster 3
- Innovate LC-1
- Stillen Brake Pads

Already have a Green Cotton Air Filter and Magnaflow 3" Race Series Exhausts

My install would differ slightly though, and i did not add my name to the list of FWD TTs. I drive a '96 GTO SR (NA with AWD). So my car already came with the AWD Drivetrain and Brakes stock from Mitsubishi. I am planning to do a full conversion including the 8:1 pistons and block internals. So in essence i will end up like a true VR4 mechanically.

Would also add my first question too, would anyone have any idea or information if my car would be running different gear ratios from the VR4 when the AWD is with the NA motor?

Let me add that I would definitely document my progress in as much detail as possible in this thread. Being a noob myself i can understand how important it is for first timers to get all the help possible, just like i went through a lot of your posts on swaps and conversions. You never know when you or I might face the same gremlins!

Regards,

Arush

well I read your wide body thread and the car looks awesome. I think that car definitely needs some turbos. good luck and I will help if I can.

btw if you are going with 8:1 why not get some bigger turbos?

edit: one more thing

if you have been researching you have probably seen it but if you haven't you might need some of this info.

the TT conversion link thread

Thanks for the support Hannibalzero, raven1231

green-lantern: yup! your thread was the first one i read through for the conversion, the compilation of the links was an awesome idea. Im sticking to used 9bs for now since they dont cost much. I want to do the whole install first as a stock car and take care of all problems and lower my risk of losing money should something go wrong. Im definitely upgrading to 15G or 13T in a few months with supporting mods. Ultimate goal is 400awhp. I know i end up spending a little more this way but i guess better safe than sorry.

One psi at a time

Sounds great, I too followed your wide body buildup thread. Great Work!

To be honest, for the price you can pick up a set of 13Ts from Rob Beck it is not going to cost you much over finding a good set of 9Bs.

I'm currently only running 6psi on my 13Ts daily driving while I work out all the little things. (I want to be sure on everything before turning up the wick).

There is a good group of us in this section, if you need anything just ask.

Thanks J-Groove. Im not worried about the 9Bs, where i live i can sell them for a price higher than a 13T would cost me I'll definitely be asking a lot of questions as i get along with the build. Your thread is very informative too especially with so many pics!

Great Venom1312, already got some sound advice from you earlier over IM. As you see my plans changed a bit from getting the build done over there. Decided to do it myself.
