When this thread came up before I went back and opened up my wiring to check where I had put the resistors. I’m about positive I have mine wired just like the diagram you made so I'm pretty sure it's right.

The stock setup on a TT has the resistor box on the B+ side of the injector. Changing it to the - side does change the electrical resistance of the circuit. Will it work? Yes, but it will shorten the life of the injectors. Ever notice the silver stock TT resistor box does not have 6 signal wires going in and 6 coming out for a total of 12 wires? That is because it is not on the negative signal wire. It is on the B+ power side. One power in, 6 resistor shunted powers out to the injectors.

Here is a picture from stealth316, the 3S turbo setup is on the far left, NA is in the middle.

Putting a resistor on the - signal side will not provide the same low imp to the injector coil.
The car will run, but the injector (if low imp) will fail sooner and is not working 100% correctly)

The other difference is that TT cars use a seperate power and ground for each injector, while the N/A harness shares a power lead among the injectors and the ECU grounds each of the other leads to fire them. For the rear bank, the common wire is bright green, which then changes to red on the opposite side of the plug next to the plenum. On the front bank, the common wire is red.
OK, I am assuming when he says “common” he is talking about the positive wire that the injectors share. So if the ECU grounds the other wires to complete the circuit and the resistor is in the loop then would it really matter if the resistor was before the injector? The resistor is only letting so much through the circuit so will that protect the injector? With the injectors sharing the hot wire I’m not so sure you can put them before the injector without swapping wiring harnesses.

Oh! That diagram clears a lot up. I have been running like this for two years. If this is putting the full power on my injectors I can’t believe my car still runs. I have had to adjust my fuel controller up a good bit. I’m wondering if this is why.
