Default OBD 2 to OBD 1 conversion

Ok so I have a 96 3000GT and im converting it to OBD 1 to run the older VR4 ECU, im running into a few issues.

I bought a OBD 1 harness, but im noticing some plugs arent where they are supposed to be or are completely different.

For example, the 3 plugs by the manifold for knock sensor, oil switch tec. the grey and the black and blue one are their and connects right, but the third plug the knock sensor one is completly different?!?!?!

Also the big plug to plug into the fuse box is different. the OBD2 fuse box plug is a wider plug.

Has anyone done this before or am I a man alone

Better off just running a hybrid. Should plug right in.

you mean like a 94 vr4 ECU and harness, I was thinking that, 93-94 that year seems pretty close to the 96 harness

the 96 harness is different though, its 4 plugs vs 3 plugs, also the crank agle sensor is setup different I think the fourth plug has more than just wires for the two extra sensors

hmm, its worth looking into. do the 94s use the same crank angle sensor as the older engine.
