well yesterday i had my friend press the clutch pedal, i didnt see any fluid leak out anywhere. I just want to make sure that the slave cylinder is meant to retract by itself without any force from the clutch fork. Because i can slide my clutch fork back and forth very easily with my hand. My slave cylinder just pushes it out and then stays there while the cluch pedal is just resting on the floor. I mainly wanna make sure that i installed the clutch fork and tob right.

you just need to bleed the line. Its extremely easy. I used a 1man brake bleeder from advance auto. Attach it to the bleeder screw on the slave cylinder. 10mm wrench opens the bleeder. Fill the reservior and pump the clutch till you get the air out of the system. You can use an NA master cylinder with the TT trans with no problems.

update is i installed my fuel pump and my prosport 60mm boost, oil, and water temp gauge. havnt ran all the wires yet though. When i first put the gauges in there was a gap on top where you could see to the back of the dash so i got the gauge cups that came with the prosports and suprisingly they fit the shape of the back of the dash perfectly. so i held the cup on the back and slid the gauge through the front and now theres no gaps or anything.

You should not be able to move the top of the clutch fork back and forth by hand. Bleeding the line isn't going to help that any. It sounds like the fork and TOB is not istalled properly.

you can move the fork back and forth a ton if the slave isn't hooked up. There must be one inch of movement before it hits the pressure plate inside.

You should be able to move the fork and hear it hit the pressure plate fingers. If you don't hear this and the fork hits the transmission case then you do have a tob problem.

I quicky read through this but you said there was a bolt and washer stuck in the valves??Is this on the heads you used? Did you check for bent valves? Also I had a problem with my clutch pedal staying on the floor when I did my 5spd conversion.I finally got it bled out and it worked fine. When I did the TT 5spd conversion I used the NA hydrolics and it worked so if you have problems use the NA slave with the TT hardlines and bracket. If you can't get it to adjust you may have knocked the fork off of the pivot ball when you installed it.

the valve seated fine. i thought i might have messed up the fork but when i try to pull on it or move it around, it feels like its on the ball. i can move it back and forth about one inch though. ill bleed it tomorrow and hopefully it works.
