UPDATE 11 - (6/25/07)

Hey y'all yea I got the car on the road already to get it to the exhaust shop this morning and the other day to pick up my bro. Yea...lol I was an idiot. The first time I drove it, I was in the middle of mounting the gauges and there were wires everywhere so in order to "clean it up a bit so I could drive I disconnected the boost gauge from the vacuum line and proceeded to drive. The whole time up to work (about a min away) I am hearing this hissing noise and my car isn't driving too well(real sluggish)...it didn't occur to me "HEY YOU IDIOT!! YOU JUST GAVE YOURSELF A VACUUM LEAK!!". Hahaha. So yea I figured it out when I got back in my neighborhood from picking him up...felt like an idiot for a good couple hours haha.

I also had driven it this morning to get it up to the exhaust shop so my friend there could modify that stupid DP and build the rest of the exhaust. Last night I stayed up to 5:45 in the morning installing all the gauges and mounting them on the A pillar back into the car. I also ran the cable for the WB under the driver's side carpet and out the little hole in the bottom of the car. I made it so that it is ready to hook up with the sensor once the exhaust is built. Everything Looks pretty good. I will get pics of the new exhaust etc when I get the car back tonight....So yea, I dropped the car off so my mechanic friend could fix the oil leaks for me, build my exhaust, tighten the throttle cable (I like a noob forgot to do that so that is also why my car has been a bit sluggish), mount the WB in there and a few other things. I just paid him to help me fix all the little minor things so that it will be ready for tuning tonight....Hahaha the whole time I was driving up to the exhaust shop people were lookin over cuz I had no exhaust and the thing was frickin loud and I wasn't even able to go WOT haha. People just had that face on the whole time. Hahaha even saw a cop. I revved at him to see if he would pull over for being too loud haha. I was literally 1 min from the exhaust shop lol. Thanks for reading and I will post pics/videos shortly. Peace!!

UPDATE 12 - (6/26/07)

Thanks y'all....The exhaust is fully built but we have a few more problems to fix. Oil is leaking from the oil pressure sending unit for the rear turbo, fuel is leaking a bit still from the hardline, there is an exhaust leak between the rear turbo and the manifold and I still have to make my boost leak tester and check for boost leaks before I can tune it...AND BOY does this thing NEED a tune. The WB is flippin out while driving this thing and it is SLOW....it just makes me depressed sometimes. I have invested over 3K and put in over 50hrs of labor into this project and there are still more problems UGH!!!. I will get some teflon thread tape and start trying to fix the fuel leak and leak from the pressure sending unit. Then I will try to fix the dang exhaust leak and build my pressure tester to test for boost leaks. Then once that is all done I will get to tuning this thing. Man this project is making me depressed right now....wish me luck. Here are some pics..sorry the car is dirty. I am waiting until I finish the project to fully detail it:

Your always going to have those little problems like leaks with such an extensive mod like that. Man, that exhaust is sexy LOL! You have done a hell of a job, don't get depressed over the little stuff. Pat yourself on the back! Remember the more power you make the more problems your going to have.

I bet you'll problably find a leak on that rear pipe you modified. Or at least it will most likely blow off. Dunno how much boost you plan to run, but I'd have a friend weld a bead around the edge of any flat pipe to coupler connections.

My hints for anyone reading this type of upgrade. Remove hood, it take 2 minutes really. Pull the engine/trans. Its cake and makes getting the work done 1000% more enjoyable when you have tasks on every angle of the engine. Last but not least a good supply of cold beer (or whiskey if your in a hurry).

Looks good have fun.
