Spent most of the day with the car, though a good portion of the time was spent running back and forth to parts stores to find the right tool I needed. I hate wasting so much time doing that, but it is all part of the game.
On to Transmission work day. ![]() ![]() After I got everything apart, thankfully nothing aside from the reverse gear synchro. Noticeable size difference between the two gear sets. ![]() Though following the rules of Murphy the new gear went on and then decided to no longer slide. So I had to bring out my special tool. ![]() I never said the special tool use is always a good idea. ![]() ![]() Well, everything is put back together for the most part, though I've been looking and am getting some conflicting numbers. What are the torque specs for the end gear nuts? -John

Oh yeah, but at that point I had already been to Orilley's twice. I should have gone a third time.

John, why did you opt to get new gears? Preventative maintenance or what?

I have KSport coilovers and 245/45/17 Khumo Ecsta ASX's. No traction problems here with a correct launch.
