Could have been a lot worse. What kills me is that this could have all been avoided if I had replaced the gear nuts to begin with.

hottttt....have fun

hey noone answers questions on my thread...Do you think I can skip running and SAFC if I run wastegate boost for a while? I am running a TT ecu, fuel pump, fpr, and injectors. Would there be anything that would keep me from running it without one for a little while?

Do you have something to monitor your air fuel ratio, knock?

If so, then yes you can. In most cases a 10:1 can run fine boosted with 6psi with what you have. But all cars are different so you really do need something to know for sure you're not running to lean.

that same bolt was loose on my tranny so I just tightened it up and it seems to work good now. I wasn't jumping out of gear though.

Ah you have the same light thingy as me! It compliments my fluorescent lights hung on the garage ceiling well!

I hope this fixes your smoking problem.

FBC - ironically I am running just 6 psi and am getting WOT knock counts of more than 10. My trims are also all at 139%. I haven't concluded why this might be, but last time I checked my plugs it appeared as though they had been burning just a small amount of oil. I'll get back to you on my conclusion as I plan on checking on this again when I can trace down the cause of my smoke.

I have my SAFC bypassed right now running 8psi and it is doing good (not much knock) but I do need to do some more data logging. I have been driving it easy until I know it's OK.

Define "not much." Personally I'd go for none at all (maybe a count or two during the pull, but not consistent knock). If it takes going to wastegate pressure then so be it.
