Very nice! Just do things one at a time and you should be fine. Post up whatever questions you have. Good luck!

Its an experience doing the TT conversion. Just make sure the turbos are in good condition before you install them cause I didn't and now I have to buy new turbos and have to wait.

I am fortunate as theTurbos on my TT engine were new as they gave me the ones they had replaced also when I bought the car so hopefully should be in good shape in that department.

Ya you don't want to end up like me having to replace them at the end of your conversion cause you find out the're bad.

I do have one question for you on the Brakes conversion to transfer the front you need the entire Sterring Knuckle correct since it is a Bolt on Hub?

And for the rear what is needed?
Just Rotor and brakes or the entire trialing arm... was not sure there ?

Thank you guys you are great...
By the way if you have a AWD 1G Wheel bearing hub decent price give me a shout I need the Passenger side

thanks again

Big Update tonight I have successfully with modifcation to the Caliper adapted it and the Rotor form the AWD Rear Brakes to my N/A I see no reason why it will not work as it should...
Parts needed were a 1/2" spacers between the caliper and Ears on the Hub for proper spacing so the rotor turned free when tightend down the Bolt holes are identicaly spaced no modication
still need to have those made But my mocks worked great.....

Next longer bolts to accomendate the .5 spacing..
then the daring part the web from ear to ear on the caliper it self I cut an arc out, in picture with a Plasma cutter then ground down to get clearance then removed center position completly to clear housing for emergency brake.... the one draw back is the emrgency drum shoe set up only makes contact with .80% of the inner Linner of the drum inside rotor( Because the Hat on the AWD rotor is More shallow than the N/A one. BUt lol its only the emergency brake testing worked great on its hold with no Question......
studying this I see no reason why this will not work......
Only one was done so the other one will go much quicker now that I have done one LOL

other notes: I have gathered the BLOCKING ring for 5th Gear( from kormex) here at the end of the week) in My Getrag so I can do the conversion AWD to FWD on the trans.

Next will be front Brake conversion.. Still need wheel Hub if someone has one used... thank you guys

Hey man, it would be real cool if you could do a very detailed documentation on how you did this. I would like to do it as well. A step-by-step instruction with pics would be great and if it tests good (and make sure you give a disclaimer) I will put it in the TT conversion thread. Also you might want to make another thread in the Tires,Wheels, Brakes & Suspension area. They will probably make it a sticky if you do a good job with it.

I would definitely rep you for it.

btw if you do it please don’t put the pics up as an attachments. Use photo bucket or something like that. If you need any help with it PM me.

edit: can it be done without a plasma cutter?

Yes it can be done with out a Plasma cutter.... after all Will need a cut off wheel.. though.... But will take good Photos and do Write up actually not hard at all to do.... But you are modding the Caliper Ear webbing... but as thick as it is no way should makea differnce in performance of the Caliper...
I am Fabricator...I built Race car Chassis Last year for the Outlaw Class in Dragracing most parts and Brackets are fabbed... So I am Daring.... I have an idea on Solid Motor mounts using OEM will add adittional information if proves worthy....But should work.....

But thank you Greenlantern getting a comment from a member like you was an Honor....
I will be reporting soon....
thank you again..

I will be doing the other Caliper tonight...will have photos....
cheers
Phil

Cool! I always wanted a 1G Stealth in white. The car looks good. Let us know how that 5th ring works out for you in the long run.
