Default MMCD with 1G TT ECU, 2G NA Harness

Has anybody else had problems connecting thier logger to a 1G TT ECU in a 2G NA car? For the life of me I cannot get MMCD or Palmstein to establish a connection with my TT ECU.

I am 99.99% certain that the three dataport wires are correctly wired into the ECM. The ECU seems to be working fine - the car starts up and drives without issue (at low RPM/throttle only). So I'm wondering where the hell I went wrong. Is there some sort of configuration issue that I may have skipped on the logger?

I am using a Palm IIIxe, an ebay logger cable, and an ebay hotsync cable. The Palm and hotsync cable both work with my shiver logger, so I can confirm that those are good.

As I was writing this, I realized that my Shiver cable is probably still plugged in to the 2G dataport. (The 1G dataport is tapped in at the ECU.) Hmmmmm... maybe the Shiver cable designed to permanently ground out the pins, and could therefore be causing the 1G logger to fail connection??? Anybody think that is a possibility?

Did you have to change any of the settings before you could get the logger to connect? Or was it just install and go?

Just tapped the harness appropriately and connected it to my palm and all was good

Okay, so the unplugging the shiver logger from the 2G dataport doesn't seem to have an effect.

You know what does?

Making sure your T-taps complete pierce through the attached wire. Doh.

Thanks for the help anyway.
