Default lsd...

doing the tt conversion and picking up the quaife lsd. I understand that I need to purchase an eclipse speedo gear. Can someone please tell me the specific part number, and anything else I will need to install the lsd.

Also, any links to a walkthrough would be helpful. Thank you.

I forget the part number, but if you buy the Quaife from Supercar they press the speedo gear on. You will also need bearings and shims.

I have to check, but I think I have a new set of bearings, shims and the speedo gear that I don't need. I'll get back to you on those.

Here's a walk through.

Thanks. If you could let me know the part numbers that would be great and also a round about cost for the speedo gear and the other parts.

Are you sure supercar engineering presses on the speedo gear? because on their website it says I have to purchase one. And If I have to get it pressed, Maximal performance sells them for $125 cheaper.

Terry at Maximal performance said for an extra cost he will press on the speedo gear and bearings for me. He can also get the shim spacer kit. Either way it will be about the same price as supercar engineering except the lsd will be ready for installation. The same $1250 would be spent at supercar w/ no bearings/speedogear/shim kit included. And you will have to spend some money to get them pressed. Maximal is the place to go.

On another note, I am ready to purchase. If there is enough people interested I would like to put together a group buy.

I haven't dealth with supercar engineering or maximal performance on LSDs, but I know if you call up Import Performance Transmissions and tell them you want the LSD, speedo gear, and bearings, they'll get it for you. You could possibly ask them about pressing them on. I pressed my own on, wasn't very hard if you have access to a machine, so pricing wise shouldn't be relatively cheap.
