Default Looking to convert but no nothing.. :/

Hey guys, I'm pretty interested in converting over but I really do not know much about turbo or anything. I have been reading up through some of these forums in this section and most of it is like a foriegn language.. I guess I should start with buying some turbo chargers...

I found these on cl should I get them?

He's absolutely right. I say never buy a turbo without handling it first.

You're off on the right foot. Research. Read. Read. And read some more. When you think you've learned enough.. read twice that.

As far as not understanding what someone is talking about on here.. just ask. You can't know if you don't ask. Some acronyms can be found in the 3si wiki, but others, you just have to ask. Remeber, no one was born with knowledge it was all gained by absorbtion.

There's basic info and needs of course for a foced induction conversion.. more fuel = bigger fuel system. Bigger fuel system = new ECU(car's computer or 'brain'), tune, or a management system of sorts. of course you'll need piping, and intercooler or 2, your turbos, bigger oil pump, etc etc. The list goes on, but myself and numerous others on here all always willing to help a fellow member. PM me with any additional questions you might have and I'll do my best.

Best of luck,

-Dave

Check out the parts for sale section. You can find a full TT conversion for around 1 grand instead of having to buy all the parts seperate

I would buy from the guys on the forum not craigslist. Look in the for sale section.

This has most of the information you need to do a conversion.

the TT conversion link thread

didn't even think about it... <*insert pitch*> I have a whole bunch of TT stuff off my car in the sale section. It is prob easier to buy a whole kit, on the other hand I bought everything peice by peice and saved alot of money. Anyway if you are interested in any of my parts pm me.
