Hmm that is pretty interesting. When I said replace the whole axle I knew you could just replace the CV boot but I didn't know how. However, after seeing that, I think it is worth a shot

you think I should replace the whole damn thing?

Save yourself a bunch of money and just replace the torn boot. I can almost guarantee that you did not damage the CV joint itself.

Got the turbos rebuilt and some of the other stuff bolted down. I would have pics up but my internet keeps going down at home. I was going to go get my intercoolers and pipes from coops last night but it got to late and I wanted to finish the other turbo. I will have some pics tonight when I get home.

I removed the clamp first. It makes the big snap ring easier to get to.

I had to pry a little to get them apart.

Since they don't seem to sell a good pair of large snap ring pliers around here I modded a pair of pliers with a grinder and it worked pretty good.

little more prying

I lined the arrow on the nut to the dowel hole then also used a sharpie. (of course the sharpie can come off easy when cleaning)

on the compressor side I marked the wheel and the nut so when putting it back together I had a good idea how hard to tighten it down. I put a lite scratch on the wheel and housing because when cleaning I know I would remove the sharpie mark there.

I just realized how little pictures I took putting it back together. LOL

I just oiled the hell out of every thing and put it back like I took it apart.

Yea no more shaft play!

this is the link I used and I did post it in the TT conversion link thread.
