Yea dude. With just a good clutch and solid engine mounts, you would be surprised as to how strong our tranny's really are when kept in good condition in the absence of wheel hop. But yea as cheap as we all want to be, we know we gotta get that real LSD haha

After you pop the things off on the sides, you should be able to actually open the wiring harness. If not then yours may have a clipping mechanism like mine. You will need a needle and some pliers and I will call and tell you how to do it.

It looks like your conversion is coming along and you have some really good ideas so good job on that. I'll be staying tuned

yes it's fine I was worried about it hitting the inside part that I put in but it (the dipstick) seems to go in fine.

I have the bright green type (like Johns) let me see if I can't get the plug to come apart more. Feel free to give me a ring.

LOL! Don't be ashamed. I still have an insert rattling around in my tranny. I personally can't afford a true LSD right now ( New house mod). It should be fine on the street. It will just wear out in a couple of months.

Looking good so far GL. I do have a few parts sitting in the garage left. Let me know if you need anything. I'll see if I can help ya out.-Dee

haha, this made me laugh

I replaced my tranny about six months ago when it exploded...wasnt even a launch either that killed it; it was when i slammed it into second gear. I heard a loud kaboom then saw that my speedo ceased to function. A few seconds later, a nasty stinch filled my cabin. Pulled over on the side of the road, and to my horror saw that my tranny was leaking fluid like crazy. This made me cry Worst thing was it happened to me when i had nothing more than an intake and stage 2 clutch. So moral of this story...you might be getting that new transmission...just dont spend 2700 bucks like i did for one! Yeah, i got ripped a new one. I will install it myself next time god forbid it explodes again!

Nice progress btw...it's looking great!
