I'm a dork.

yeah, i switched my mind about a month ago from S/C to the twin turbo route. i have a whole slab of parts (wrecked vr-4) coming my way for free. turns out to be cheaper with less headaches. some of you might be wondering why i'm buying all these parts on the boards for a tt conversion then. well i can't wait (parts won't come in for a couple months now) so i'm buying now selling later. plus i have to rip the car that has the parts out and want to have a my car done so i have more garage space.
kdog109sd or any ATX TT owners... would a FMIC work on our cars? i'm wondering about this customcoach deal but didn't know if the pipe from the IC to the TB would hit the tranny. anyone mess with FMIC setups that have ATX's? thanks! J |

No, you don't have to take the engine out at all.

I should be starting on mine soon. Still debating weather or not to keep the ATX. After getting the tranny back from the rebuild(all stock parts) it seemed like it was slower.
So I might be getting a front clip and swapping everything into a 8:1 or keeping the 10:1 and ATX. A lot of it depends on how the tranny reacts to the shift kit and how my compression looks. I'd really like to go ATX TT but im leaning twords MTX TT. |

After talking to Kunal (kdog109sd), he persuaded me to keep with the tt conversion. Collecting parts as I speak . Should be done by early-late August. Oh and thanks Kunal for giving me motivation again to keep with the project. I know if you weren't such a good friend, none of this would be possible. Well I'm gonna go, just wanted to let ya guys know that I'm also goin to be a FWD tt 3kgt this summer . Take care all of ya and for the rest of ya that are still doin the conversion, good luck with getting it together and tuned of course
