Default fuel delivery for the sohc turbo

ok well as many know im working on a turbo kit for my sohc.im heading to the local junkyard tommorow and i was thinking about grabbing some 240cc injectors off of a NA dsm while i was there. i have read on the dsm forums that they are high impedence injectors. will they work with our cars? i dont see why they wouldnt, but i want to make sure

They will work but you are still going to need a controller. Depending on how much boost you want to run 240's may not be enough.

well starting out im only gonna run 4-6psi depending on how the wideband reads. i have a a/f ratio of 11.2 on the dyno. i think that the 240s will be perfect for low boost levels.

But are you going to have a controller like a SAFC or Emanage though?

Why start off with 240s when you'll have to upgrade eventually anyways? You mise well start off with stock VR4 360cc injectors and Walbro 190 lph & go from there... You can tune it from there especially if you're running SAFC II.

i was thinking about it. but as stated in the other thread, the safc2 might not be able to recognize the change from the 210 to 360cc. im starting out with low boost and i will work my way up. but as i am dding the car right now, as my dad has been using my truck, the 240s will work fine. theres no reason for me to not use them as they will be dirt cheap or maybe free lol. i know that some of the nissans used 270cc injectors so i will keep my eyes open for them while im there. the main thing im worried about right now is getting the manifolds fabbed up.

I'm not sure if anyone has used a MAFT Pro on a SOHC yet or not, but that might work well using the 360cc injectors.

What turbo(s) are you going with?

I'd say 240cc's probably arent going to be enough and you might as well just get some vr4 injectors and wire in resistors for them, they can be found pretty cheap too ($40).
The safc doesnt 'recognize' the change in injector size per say. However it will be able to handle tuning in 360cc injectors from the stock size. However, seeing as the stock NA ecu isn't programmed to see boost you may have other issues in your tune, such as timing etc. Id personally recommend a more versatile tuner like emanage or maft pro where you can control timing and get more tune adjustment points. Although an safc would probably suffice if you are on budget restraints.

i am on buget restraints, i have to get this accomplished and pay for BLET lol.
well right now on 210cc injectors my a/f is 11.2. so im thinking for 4-6psi, that the 240s would suffice. like i said i may just go with the 270s if i can find some at the junkyard. the turbo i am using is a 14b. its small for the 3.0 i know, and i have already discussed with brent in detail about how it will not really make any power above 5k rpms. but its what i got for 20$ freshly rebuilt from a buddy of mine, so im gonna put it to use. it will suffice for 4-6psi.
