eliminate egr on 3000gt sl?

so my check engine light came on, got the code and its my egr. should i waste the money on a new egr, or can i eliminate it?. if i can what all do i have to do? any ideas or help on it? lemme know.

If you eliminate it you are not going to get rid of the CEL. You need to find out why it tripped the CEL.

hmm if you did a egr delete on a sl would it throw a cel though?

Yes it will.

what could possibly throw the cel?.. but i can delete the egr though? just buy the block off plates of 3sx?

Yeah you can eliminate it, but there isn't anything you can do to get rid of the CEL then.

NO NO NO. If you eliminate it it will be on permanantly.

I was able to on mine because there is a way to deal with the CEL. On 96+ you're screwed.
