Do I really need a Fan Controller?

The 1st gen ECU which a lot of us TT conversion guys use does not have a Fan controller within it. Where as the 2nd gen ECU does. So when switching over to a 1st gen ECU while having a 2nd gen harness the fans will not turn on.

The standalone gives a very simple fix to this problem that works great.

If you ae using your 1st gen ECU and radiator you will be fine without one. Your 1st Gen radiator has temp sensors screwed in the radiator.
