thats depressing If I get my Oil housing in then I will prolly drop the oil pan this weekend and finish that part up. I want to have the housing so I dont have to take out the starter twice...btw my car doesnt have the heat shield for the starter for some reason...is this bad? Also in the end will I have to run heat shield on headers and turbos.

I think you should be straight. I don't run heat shields for anything. They look like garbage and make the car harder to work on. That means they are not going on my car lol. What they meant by never being done is that there always seems to be some nagging problem lol. Like for right now, cuz I got some garbage downpipe, a part of it is hitting the frame of my car. All because the guy who built my exhaust was lazy. So yea it is looking like I am going to have to buy a new D.P off of ebay or get this one fixed. I don't know what is the better option at the moment.

I am buying a ebay downpipe...only problem is I cant find one that is NOT stainless. I dont have the right gas to weld stainless. I want to add a flex section in it....if you see one that isnt stainless and is for a 1st gen tell me please.

Ebay down pipes never fit correctly. I think you are better off spending the extra money getting a decent downpipe or just try to find a stock one. I have converted one car before and am converting another right now. I do have quite a bit of extra parts laying around if any of you converters need anything. I recommend using a TT plenum, and getting a EGR block off kit and removing all the solinoids.

i have a few extra sets of intercoolers and piping, and Intake pipes. also have some extra TT headers.

On those days where you dont have parts to get much done I recommend dressing up the engine bay. Because once you have the power under there you will want to show it off. While you are doing everything and pulling parts I would take the time to clean and put some color on whatever you think will look good.

I would also start saving for a GETrag transmission to convert to FWD because you will eventually blow your differential. A big money saver is to find a front clip. Then you can get all the conversion parts, a GETrag trans plus the half shafts and TT brake conversion parts.

Last. If you are using a TT ECU and TT wiring you dont really need an SAFC. The TT ecu will manage the stock injectors and wiring. Make sure you get the resistor pack with the wiring (i have a few if you need one). I would get a good boost gauge and maybe look into a boost controller. I am going to use the NA ecu on my current project so I will have to get a Safc but I think I have one laying around.
Sorry I'm kinda rambling on here but I have done this before and am doing it again so I know whats going on! Good Luck and feel free to PM me any time with questions.
Fred

Thanks venom...I believe you still need the s-afc if you are upping the boost like me(not past 10 psi most likely because of knock). I would like to have a perfect tune also. I already have most of the parts. I still need ecu, harness, and clutch though. You wouldnt happen to have a oil cooler and lines would you Noone ever seems to be selling them. I am also going to be running aem uego wideband.
