Default Clutch question...

Alright, I should be getting another vehicle to drive in the next three or four weeks. Then I'll be able to start on my TT conversion. I was thinking about replacing my clutch too while I'm at it and even get a Fidanza flywheel. Here is my question, what kind of clutch should I get? I saw that Fidanza makes clutches and they have different stages. What stage would I need?

South bend clutches are awesome for a fwd-tt, a stage 2 or 3 would be ideal. However, others may perfer different "brand" clutches.

I havent gotten the clutch yet but I got the Flywheel like 2 days latter

Never had one but Jeff swears by them

I have all the parts I need except the wideband, and I do want to get an LSD, clutch, and lighter flywheel. I'm going to take my time. I have all winter to do this project, that way I know I'm doing it right. I have a few people who will help me. My girlfriends brother in law is really good with cars. He built is own general lee out of a scrap car.

Parts that I have are:

9b turbos (minimal shaft play)
o2 housings w/ sensors for 1st gen
exhaust manifolds
1st gen front precat
2nd gen downpipe
turbo intake pipes
turbo to intercooler pipes
intercoolers
intercooler pipes
y-pipe w/ gasket
Custom made y-pipe with hks flange already welded on it (SSQV) also it has been tapped for the meth. injection.
360cc fuel injectors (30k miles on them)
oil feed/return lines
coolant feed/return lines
coolant housing
front motor mount bracket
oil cooler w/ lines
fuel pump w/ assembly
Brand new 255 lph fuel pump
Brand new Prosport boost gauge (electronic)
Brand new Manual boost controller
Brand new Snow performance stage 1 meth injection kit
Front and rear pre-cats from a 2nd gen car
99 ECU/wiring harness
3inch test pipe
TT FPR
TT plenum
TT injector pack
Firewall solenoids (for emission purposes)

Parts I am considering to get:

Electronic cut-out downpipe
wider tires (for better traction)
solid motor mounts (definitely getting these)
bigger injectors

Any suggestions are welcome....

I should be starting on this in the next month. I am going to go pretty slow, but that means more pictures!

So I'm going to assume since your going meth injection that your going to keep your stock 10:1 compression?

I personally went ahead and since my engine is out and down to the block ordered some Wiseco 8:1 compression and I'm just waiting on my valves right now to take them up to my machine shop that's doing my heads.

Only reason I haven't started my TT conversion is because my step dad is turbo blockin HARD!

But the engine will be ready for it no doubt!

btw do you have the resonators for the fuel injectors?

Yes, I'll be keeping my stock 10:1 compression. Didn't feel like spending the extra cash to do the engine swap... if I were to do that I might as well get the 3.5L and convert to AWD. But, I'd rather keep it a FWD/TT on my stock block.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I do have the resonators... why?

You wouldn't need a new block for the lower compression just new low comp. pistons.

But as far as the resonators go if you don't have them your injectors wouldn't work because the TT ones are low impendence and the base are high impedence

Yea...he's covered. He's got the tt resistor pack and tt ecu/harness. So he'll be fine.
