Default Can't Sleep Turbo on the Mind

This is another to turbo now or later kind of things just wanna get some more personal comments on what I should do lol

Ok this is my situation... timing slipped a few months back so I'm doin a rebuild... I'm down to the headbolts and I'm starting to wonder if not doing my TT conversion now would be a waste... btw my engine is currently out of the bay and on my stand...

so I guess what my main question is should I just rebuild and make sure all works and then put it under the knife again or should I do it all at once while its still out...

I havent ordered any of my rebuild parts as of yet cuz I have money coming to me from school and it hasnt gotten here yet and I dont wanna order an N/A part when its a TT part I should be getting if I go through with this

What do ya think?

If you do it you might want to go with a 9:1 compression ratio. Also I would strongly recommend doing the conversion while the engine is out. So you already have it out so you might as well do it.

Isn't the VR4 an 8:1?
But regardless of even that... would I need new heads and pistons? or just a lower compression set of pistons? I'm a lil unlearned in anything side from fixin whats broken lol so any help would be great!

yes the VR4 is 8:1 but a lot of conversion guys go with 9:1 so they can run more boost but still get faster spool and a little more power in the low end.

Do it all at once. put it back in with some solid mounts, a lsd, and springs to help eliminate wheel-hop.

it will save you alot of headace down the road to do it all while its out and on the stand
