Not sure if it's any help, since you could probably guess which has better traction. Between the two, my TT AWD (with many more mods) is much more fun on the road.

Never driven a FWD MTX though. I wouldn't expect a huge difference between FWD ATX, but who knows.

I've rode in mtx fwd's and tt's and they have absolutely no traction in first gear. They can take off in second gear like its first. I was just noticing last night in a pretty heavy downpour that my atx would keep traction even when flooring it at its "sweet points." This is with 245 tires. The gearing in the atx is just rediculus. 1st gear in the atx is longer by about 10mph than the VR4's first. Am I completely wrong with thinking that the huge gearing would help a little with the traction since it seems it would take a little more power to get the car moving? Hmmm, if not maybe it's time to think about awd atx, but that will add even more weight to an already heavy car.

AAAAHHHHH, you guys on this site are killing me. FWD ATX TT or VR4? 1st gen or second, 3000GT or Stealth?

Anyway, Tyler, how is your traction when you floor it at the downshift points? How do you think a setup like SLguy's would be with traction in normal driving and occasional wot.

On 6 psi I've never had a problem flooring it at a downshift point. At 10 psi it may be a little different. I can imagine SLguy's setup would be hard to get used to in WOT situations, but easy to manage for normal driving.

The key is not to get into the throttle too quickly. Instead of just slamming the gas like on an n/a, on a TT you need to ease into it for the first couple hundred rpm.

If I remember correctly about 10 psi. Some have pushed it to 12 or 13. I would keep it under 10psi though, because I think the ones at 12 and 13 were running alky to help keep the knock down.

9b's , 450cc , walbro pump, 3in FMIC, 3in Piping , 3in full exhaust, DP, HF Cat, Manual boost controller, Type S BOV, Fuel controller, Data Logger, Type O Turbo Timer, Solid Motor Mounts. 10:1 Compression. I know a lot of the stuff i listed is not really performance just want to get an idea out.

Stick with 360cc injectors so you can use the TT ecu. 450's won't make much of a difference if any on 9b's. I'd say you would be looking at about 325-335 crank and about 290-300fwhp. Just a guess because that's all you can do.
