Also, Jegs put the fan controller on backorder. Bastards.

Well I wired up that connector by the alternator (Someone had cut that connector off and left the wiring). I used the same connector off of one of my parts cars. I wired it exactly how it should. I then clipped it in and still get no signal. I know the o2 sensor is good because when I had it spliced off of the existing sensor It showed a signal for the rear (I cut the signal wire at the ECU to test it). Did you have to do any other thing to your wiring other than just plug it in?

Try this place for the fan controller- they may have it in stock.

My boy Pearlryde did his Front O2 a few weeks ago- PM him. His works great. Just a suggestion- I would reset my ECU by disconnecting the battery for a while. Not sure if it will work, but it's worth trying. Then double check to make sure you have the correct pin spliced for the front O2. Good luck!

Yeah i just plugged mine in. Granted, I havn't started my car yet, but its going straight to the ECU in the factory harness, so I dont see why it wouldnt work. My only guesses would be using an incorrect pin on the ECU (you have the pinout list right?) or the soldering/crimping came un-done on the connector you put in. Let us know bud

heres the correct one:

Different kit than the one you listed. 16749 has a threaded sensor that goes into the block. 16759 has the radiator probes. Yay for summit!

Yah man I got the correct pin. I am very familiar with the ECU pinouts. I really don't know what to try at this point.

To follow up on this thread since I have gotten several PMs, here is a definitive way to use a 94-95 Federal Spec harness with a 91-93 TT ECU.

Issue:
Radiator fans won't work without mods
Solution:
See "cooling your hybrid" thread

Issue:
Nowhere to plug the rear o2 sensor in.
Solution:
Extend the o2 sensor wiring from where the old one was at the downpipe. See Stealth316.com under "o2 sensor" for wiring tips.

Issue:
Front o2 sensor won't work / no voltage.
Solution:
The 94/95 Fed spec harness does not have a pin going to the ECU for the front o2 (Pin 56). You will have to run your own wires. 3 to "borrow" power and ground from the rear o2 sensor and the signal wire will need to be run directly to the ECU and inserted into the harness connector. I used epoxy but i am sure there are better means.

Nice follow up. I followed up my o2 problem in another thread. I had the wiring correct so if anyone is wondering, thats how you do it.
