13.9 at 103mph, fwd-tt 10:1, 6 psi, no tune - 3000GT/Stealth International Message Center

Hey guys I went to the track last night for some fun. Some of you may know I finished about 2000 miles ago and have been running 6 psi on 9b's. I have a 3 inch exhaust, tt ecu, tt fp, tt injectors. I have no way to tune the car yet and I have been getting some knock in 3rd and 4th gear. I ran a 13.9 at 103 with a bad bogging start down to 1500 rpm.... it was my first launch and I have never been to a track before. Only a few performance upgrades. Does my time sound decent? I am hoping for mid 13's with a good start.

well first id try and find out where your knock is coming from lol. but with a good ,launch provided you dont bog, or spin too bad, i think that mid to low 13s are possible for you

if you want to save some dough on the tune grab an safc and a wideband a/f gauge and do a cheap tune yourself

your nock is probably coming from a lean mixture because its running a different compression off of a stock ecu

yea i have a wideband...I just havent had money for a safc...at wot i run about 10.7 on the wideband in the higher rpms.

thanks...i went up against an 07 sti with small mods...i almost beat him off the line

...I guess he didnt know how to launch...he ran a 13.7

Definitely not bad man. I'm glad you got the conversion done and having some fun. congratulations

just be careful not to over do it until you get a tune on it. how much knock are you getting?

decent times. tune it a bit and figure out the knock issue and you might be able to get it down to low 13s at about 107-109 on upped boost.

Thanks guys...I was almost thinking about selling the car after driving it in the rain...i hate traction issues

but I am going to keep it. I am getting around 6 counts in 4th and 5th gear sometimes...1 time I saw 11 counts after a backfire...when driving normally or driving hard in 1st and 2nd...I get at most 2 counts usually none. It doesnt always knock but it does worry me. I am selling things in parts for sale so that i can get a safc II this week. I really hope to get to low 13's at 10 psi...then it would be a rocket ship
