you do know that chains stretch right? Chains also break.

I use the Kevlar belt, it don't stretch or at least it isn't supposed to
I am pretty sure there are 7 second imports that run a belt and do just fine.

Personally, and this is just me, I think this would be a very complicated and unecassary way to fix a problem that doesn't exist.

yes i do know they stretch i was implying that in my post.im just saying that even a TINY bit of stretching is gonna throw it off (a fraction of a tooth). But seriously whats wrong with making a setup BETTER...(if this setup is actually better)

just a side note, there will never be slack on the tension side (crank to rear ex cam) unless you roll the engine backwards, the crank is always pulling on the cams whether you are accel or decel. this is why many cars w/ bad tensioners are fine until they are parked in first uphill or rev. downhill.

i'd be down for a gear drive system if it was reasonably priced. maybe with a little bit of whine. or a lot.

got to play with timing chain setup on 4B11 engine for new lancer/ lancer evo.

very very suzuki motorcycle-ish.. except on the side of the engine instead of between cyl 2 and 3

Funny how we were just talking about this in the other thread, lol.

I would put trust in a chain over a belt any day of the week, more-so in the gear drive. Double Roller = 99.9% no issues!
