Default Pulstar pulse plugs

Will these work well in a turbo engine?

Are these worth the $25.00 each?

Looks interesting, but I'm not sure I want to be the test dummy at a price of $150. If they were all they say they are you'd think we'd have heard about them before in race applications.

They are just coming on the market so no one I know of has tried them.

if they cause the flame front to propgate so much faster, and increase the cylinder pressure that much faster, wouldn't that theoretically be the same thing as increasing the ignition timing? would the ecu compensate?

also, on another page it notes: CAUTION: Pulstar model recommendations are for stock, unmodified engines. If you have added an aftermarket turbocharger, supercharger, nitrous or any other product that increases displacement or compression to your engine you will require a colder heat range pulse plug in order to avoid possible damage to your engine. For these applications please see our other great product at www.directhits.com or call us at 888-800-6700.

went there, it looks like it's essentially the same concept, but something you put on your traditional sparkplug. yet more expensive. $255

I'll stick with my NGK BCP7ES's (non resistor). If I need more spark, I'll get an HKS Twin Power.

I don't see these being anything big. Plus at $25.00 a plug, it's not worth it when regular plugs and an ignition amp will probably yield better results.

As spfan says, because they fire earlier than stock odds on you`ll have to trim the ignition timing to compensate, making the advantages worthless.. Maybe these and alky injection would make good gains if you have no other way of advancing the ignition.

If this was the case and the timing was advancing that rapidly would this not also amplify crankwalk and increase piston sidewall pressure causing engine failures in high mile 3k's which seems to be another issue in itself?

Was just wondering if anyone had tried or knew someone who tried these.... not that I could afford $150 plug change. I'd go back to Iridium's first...

most pro race applications dont use plugs with ground straps. These are also new to the market
