Default need expert to calculate compression

I have a 95 vr4 with forged pistons that ross say are 9:1
Using head gaskets that measure .054 at the clyinder opening I have 172 to 175 psi.
I would like to reduce the compression down to about 160 psi.

Can anyone calculate how much thicker of a head gasket would i require to achieve this?

the cylinder measures 91.87mm

I called Cometic but they are just salesmen and can not help me with any technical info.
They have gasket thicknesses in .060 .065 and .074
1.5mm 1.625 1.85mm

If anyone knows of a formula to calculate this, I would be greatfull.

Thanks.

Default Re: need expert to calculate compression

Calculating CR is a pain...the .060 would probably get you close to what you need.

Some dirty math showed that .054 to .058 are thicnesses that you'd want. .060 may take you a bit below 160. But I'm no expert.
