FWIW: I ordered the 1.3M cable because it said (in the description) it did everything the 1.4E did plus be able to reprogram (which is currently limited to Evo's).
Yeah I was tempted too to get the 1.3 M cable just to have the option of reprogramming the ECU but I thought about it and realized that I'd be wandering in unchartered territory with no one to turn to in case things go wrong. Can't afford to damage my ECU or end up with messed up maps.

For me the ability to get USEFUL logs showing knock counts is already a HUGE advance. So, first things first... I kept it simple and ordered the 1.4 E cable...

Well if ever it does become possible to modify factory settings, I'd hope that developers would make it so that one can download a copy of the factory settings so that it could be reloaded if needed.

Just a thought.

wow... well as somebody who uses mut2/3 on a daily basis I can tell you guys that you aren't missing out on much. OBDII mode is still limited at 10kb/s per the EPA whiners. Check mode is about 8x faster but still tends to run a hair under OBD-I sampling rate. *shrugs*

The product descripion is a little confusing about whats already implemented and whats still to come. Can this current 1.0 version read and clear fault codes on gen1 cars? And will a standard serial datalogger cable work with it?
