My cable is non-flashing and is just an OBDII to USB.

OK, so, what is it? I can't get evoscan to work, and I'm not thrilled about coughing up $200 for a monochrome palm pilot that constantly has to move files to a PC to do anything useful.

EvoScan can't flash the ECU since it's not writable. That part shouldn't matter, at least in theory.

I'm a little confused as to what Cable I need. I have a 94 and 98 VR4, so do I need two cables or does the one Openport1.3u cable connect to both cars, and also, Is there two softwares, or just one that I need to get to be able to log both cars. I allready have an old laptop, so I just want to make sure that all I need is the Cable, and the software to log my cars. One more question, does the software and Cable work with a palm pilot, or do I need to get a seperate cable and software if i wanted to use a palm setup. Sorry for all the questions, I just don't have the time to read through 40+ pages.

Thanks for your help.

Your '94 and '98 have the same obdii pin configuration so only one cable is needed for this software.

Also, one copy of the software is all you need ... it will work on 94 & 98, and also on subaru, evo, etc; so no need to buy multiple licenses.

I'm still a big nub when it comes to this tuning stuff, but I do recall someone from GTpro telling me and some other people that the 99 ecu is flashable. Is that the same concept as what the wrx's have as a kind of "learning" ecu?

My open atmosphere hks made my car run like shit for about a week, and it seemed to correct itself, and the car runs perfect ever since. {2 years ago}

I have a 1995 3000GT Hybrid, which cable do I need to buy? cable + price? And would I be able to clear SRS Light with this? I don't feel like reading through 43 pages of posts to find my answer if it was asked previously. Thanks alot.
