Is this fact? 98-99 VR-4's can be reflashed. Anybody done it or even tried? Very interested.

I downloaded the 2.4 version lastnight. Hamish said there were some additional bugs that got into the 2.3 release candidate that had to be addressed. No biggie!

Anybody else running the 2.4v or had problems with the 2.3 ?

Yes they can be reflashed in theory. However, last I checked the EVO 4/5/6 ECUs which also have H8 based ECUs couldn't be reflashed since no one was able to come with the H8 flash initialization code. A this point it's read only which means you can download the ROM and even modify it but you can't flash it on the ECU.

EVO 4/5/6 owners got around that by switching their ECUs to EVO 8/9 ones.

98 and 99's CAN be reflashed its just that there are so few 98's at 231 and 99's at 287 that there is no aftermarket support for doing so

It has been a month and I still have no cable. I wish Hamish had a better contact method besides email.

For your 91 RT/TT, I would use the MMCD software. Its free and you can use a palm PDA for logging.

Where can I get version 2.4, and also where do you get the "Serial Number" when I'm installing the software. It neither came with the emails sent when I purchased the cable, nor did it come with the cable itself.
