It is working for some, but not working for me. Hamish (Evoscan's writer) did send me an updated version to try. My tactrix cable will try to connect, but times out. I tried to use my ElmScan 323 cable, however, it errors out right away saying "USB connection not found", so I think the cable selection on the menu does not work properly.

I will update later today/tomorrow once I download and try the newer version I was sent.

I have the cable that allows you to burn the prom (just in case it was ever possible to do on '99 VR4 w/EvoScan). Am I supposed to pull Pin9 on the Diagnostic Connector or ???????????

I dunno, but im in for an answer as well, although my cable was logging everything like normal except;

V2.3beta2 would pull codes on my car.

So I figured v2.3 full would work on my buddys 97vr4, but it gets a weird DTC. It clears the codes though.

I have to give b2 a try on his car and see...

Yes, that's the official 2.3 release.

Apparently my cable is not working because I have an old, old tactrix cable.

SO how is the final release of this software compared to the HHH logger for a 96vr4? I am looking to pick up a logger ASAP and do not know which of the two I should get. Thanks for the help.

I can't compare it to a HHH logger because I don't know what that is at the moment.

Evoscan is working fine for my '96 and because I can also log my Zeitronix Zt2 function for a/f, boost along with all of the many attributes the MUT captures, it's a great logger. My first logger than can log real time knock counts.

Interested in buying for my 1996 3000GT VR-4 that was produced in June 1995 will this "EvoScan StandAlone LCD ECUDataScan Display v1.0 (1994-2006 Mitsubishi" work like the stand alone cable and also allow me to hook it up to my laptop? It is like their answer to the Scanmaster. I have noticed that the cheaper 1.4E cable is no longer available was that for marketing purposes so that we have to buy the more expensive 1.3M cable we do not really need? Sorry if this has been covered. Thanks for your help, Ray

Did I get the wrong cable or something? I have a 1.3b (ordered a 1.3u) and it has an extra dongle thing to hook into another port besides the OBD2 port.. I thought this was only on OBD1's?

If not, where do I plug it in? It's obviously not getting a response from my car when I plug it in.
