No, it is inaccurate. It is used to see if the pressure in the plenum changes when the EGR system is recirculating. If it dosent see a change then the system isnt workin or has been blocked and throws a code.

Hmm never seen that. What is the MDP used for? Can anyone post a picture?

I've got a spare intake manifold of unknown origins that sports a quite large cast for a not bored port right behind the "ECI". I always wanted to know what thats for. Might just be the MDP...

Here's a not so clear picture of where it's mounted and what the sensor looks like. The plenum has a groove cut in with two mounting holes and in the bottom of the groove is a very small pin hole. I've heard that this sensor can also be rigged to work off of a vacuum connection. If you look carfully at my sig you can see that I also have this sensor.

thanks mate that helped. My plenum has the casting but neither the pinhole nor the threads are there. I guess they kept 96+ produced parts compatable for all 3s versions and as far as I know there were no ODBII ones outside the US.
So I assume my plenum came from a 96+ german version without MDP.

Now the question is can you use the MDP sensor channel on non-ODBII cars for a boost sensor?

I've seen a plenum like that once. I think Bob [oohnoo] might have had one.

Not sure if you can add it or not if it's not wired into your ECU already.

The stock one is inaccurate and just for emissions, I guess you could get a nice map sensor and mount it there, then yes you could. If you could put that plenum on a odbI

I just ordered my cable and software tonight. When it gets here ill see if it will log and find how off it is.

The Anti-lock light is suppose to flash whenyou plug in the OBDII port if it's on already. Was it already on before you plugged in?

Does anyone know if there will be support for UK and JDM cars?

There could be a lot of interest especially if it can support all MUT functions.

Being able to do an AFR map trace would be very useful.
